Before you compare systems, answer one question
Is your restaurant inside a hotel? If not, Soft Restaurant is a good choice and we tell you so up front.
What it does well
It has spent more than twenty-five years in street restaurants, according to its own site (softrestaurant.com, consulted on September 4, 2026). It has inventory with recipes and costing, electronic invoicing in Mexico, integration with delivery apps, a self-service kiosk and a free academy. If your number one problem is inventory or delivery, today we are not your best option, and we prefer to say it here.
When you should stay where you are
If your restaurant is a standalone location, with no rooms, no credit customers, and hardware already bought and working, stay. Switching systems costs your team’s attention, and it is not worth it over nuances.
Where the conversation changes
Its own catalog separates the restaurant from the hotel. The hotel is sold as another product from the same vendor, and room charge from the POS is a “link through hotel ERP/PMS systems” that is “purchased separately” (softrestaurant.com/soft-restaurant-precio, September 4, 2026). Its integrations page lists two compatible hotel systems (softrestaurant.com/integraciones, same date).
That is not a flaw. It is the design of the whole category: the POS is one thing and the hotel is another, joined by a link that is paid for, configured and maintained. In Inn there is no link because there are not two systems.
When the switch pays for itself
- When there are rooms and room charge goes through paper or through a link to another system.
- When you invoice companies and someone separates by hand what the company pays from what the guest pays.
- When you have more than one revenue center and they share a single cash drawer.
- When you pay for a link to your hotel system, or a device cap per plan.
- When month-end close takes an afternoon of reconciliation.
- When you cannot answer how much each occupied room spent in the restaurant.
What comes with you and what stays
Catalog, prices, categories, modifiers, credit customers and open balances are migrated. Your sales history stays on your previous system for as long as you need it.
What the switch looks like
Five days, without closing the restaurant, with a live rehearsal on day four. You can start with a single revenue center.

Not today. It is on the roadmap. If it is your priority, stay.
Do you integrate with delivery apps?
Not today. It is on the roadmap.
Do you offer electronic invoicing?
It depends on the country and on what has been released. We answer in writing, never in general terms.
Is there a lock-in contract or a device cap?
No, neither.
